Hello Neighbor is a stealth horror game about sneaking into your creepy neighbor's house to figure out what horrible secrets he's hiding in his basement. You play against an AI that adapts from your actions. Really enjoying climbing through that backyard window? Expect a bear trap there. Sneaking through the front door? There'll be cameras there soon. Trying to escape? Your neighbor will find a shortcut and catch you.

What it feels like

Despite horror framing, user tags and reviews hint at humor and comedy, with the cat-and-mouse dynamic suggesting mischievous experimentation rather than pure dread. The absurdist premise of a sentient neighbor learning to counter your exact tactics has a quirky, slightly surreal charm.

How it plays

Sneaking into the neighbor's house and avoiding detection is the primary gameplay loop and core mechanic. The adaptive AI learns your patterns and sets traps based on your previous actions, making enemy awareness and response central to tension. The learning AI creates dynamic, unpredictable situations that emerge from the interplay between player strategy and adaptive neighbor behavior.
