Yet Another Zombie Defense
Yet Another Zombie Defense is an unusual mix of dual-stick zombie shooter and tower defense genres. The player is free to choose from nine unique weapons and mount them onto auto turrets or set up defensive barricades to stay alive as long as he can. There are also power-ups to collect, different zombie types to shoot at and cooperative mode.
What it feels like
The escalating wave structure and survival focus create sustained pressure where mistakes compound into failure.
What it's about
Zombie enemies and undead outbreak are the explicit setting and threat driving all gameplay. The core loop centers on surviving escalating waves of zombies as long as possible with limited resources. Horror framing is present through zombie enemy type and darkening atmosphere ('Darkness is coming'), though secondary to survival mechanics.
How it plays
Tower defense mechanics are explicitly central to the game, with players building turrets and defensive barricades as a core strategy layer. Dual-stick shooter gunplay is core to moment-to-moment combat, with nine unique weapons the player chooses and fires. Dual-stick control scheme enables omnidirectional shooting and movement simultaneously.
How it looks and sounds
Steam user tags confirm top-down perspective as the primary viewpoint for combat and base layout.
How it's structured
Gameplay is organized around surviving successive escalating waves of zombie enemies. The game has no defined ending—players survive as long as possible against endless waves, chasing high scores. Local split-screen co-op is explicitly supported, enabling shared-screen cooperative play.
