Dungeon Defenders II
Dungeon Defenders II is a co-operative action tower defense game that incorporates heavy roleplaying elements. In it, up to four players will work together to place defenses, fight back the enemy hordes, and collect a ton of loot. Together, you will have to take back Etheria!
What it feels like
Cooperative victory against escalating waves carries a sense of hard-won team achievement. Fast-paced real-time combat and wave survival generate kinetic rush and flow.
What it's about
Players band together to reclaim Etheria from invading hordes in a classic defend-the-realm narrative.
How it plays
Tower defense—placing defensive structures to stop enemy waves—is the explicit and definitional core of the gameplay loop. Players actively fight enemy hordes in real-time alongside defenses, requiring skillful melee and ranged combat execution. Collecting randomized loot drops with varying rarity is a central reward loop driving progression and replayability.
How it looks and sounds
Action unfolds from a third-person camera following the player character in the arena.
How it's structured
Designed for up to four players cooperatively working through the campaign from start to finish together. Online co-op is an explicitly supported feature enabling shared campaign play over the internet. Play is explicitly organized around surviving successive escalating waves of enemies.
