Moncage is an adventure puzzle game, where the player will explore a lonely world trapped in a mysterious cubic device. Each face of this cubic device will display a different scene. The player will navigate through the island and the factory by finding the connections among the scenes.

What it feels like

A pervasive enigmatic pull of secrets half-glimpsed and answers withheld through the cube's hidden connections and isolated setting. The lonely, isolated world and the methodical puzzle-solving invite unhurried reflection and interpretation of the relationships between scenes. The isolated, unhurried exploration and contemplative puzzle-solving foster a calm, unrushed atmosphere distinct from high-pressure challenges.

What it's about

A lonely world trapped inside a mysterious cubic device forms the narrative backdrop, foregrounding solitude and confinement.

Isolation70%

How it plays

Core mechanic revolves around understanding geometry, perspective, and spatial relationships across the six faces of a cube to find hidden connections. Puzzles are woven into the world itself—leveraging illusions and discovering links between scenes embedded in the cubic environment. Interaction with scenes and puzzle elements appears driven by clicking or selecting hotspots to examine and manipulate connections.

How it looks and sounds

The fundamental conceit—a world trapped in a mysterious cube with shifting scenes and hidden links—evokes dreamlike, impossible spatial logic. The constrained six-face cube structure and focus on essential spatial relationships suggest a stripped-down, refined visual language.

How it's structured

Designed as a solo experience with no multiplayer component, fundamental to the isolated narrative and puzzle exploration. Each face of the cube is a deliberately authored scene, with intentional design connecting the different locations and scenarios. Player explores scenes and solves puzzles in a largely self-directed order, discovering connections at their own pace across the six faces.
