SCP: Secret Laboratory
Deep within a secure underground facility, a sudden containment breach allows many of the secured anomalies to escape from their chambers. Assist the Foundation in re-securing the facility, help the Insurgency in their goal to capture it, or wreak havoc as an SCP in a frantic bid to escape.
What it feels like
The unpredictability of a containment breach and three-way combat creates sustained edge-of-seat pressure. Hostile anomalies and enemy players pose an active present threat. Chaotic multiplayer encounters with SCPs and competing teams create overwhelming urgency.
What it's about
Anomalous creatures, containment breach, and the threat from SCPs create a horror atmosphere. Paranoia, unknown threats lurking in the facility, and unpredictable SCP behavior contribute psychological dread. The Foundation's secrecy and the nature of contained anomalies hint at concealed global machinations.
How it plays
First-person shooter combat with firearms and ranged weapons is a primary interaction. Evasion and avoiding detection are meaningful survival strategies, especially for Insurgency and SCP players. Line-of-sight, sound, and alertness states between factions drive tactical tension.
How it looks and sounds
The game is fundamentally played from first-person perspective, core to the shooter experience. Interface elements are integrated into the SCP fiction rather than floating on screen.
How it's structured
Three-sided PvP (Foundation, Insurgency, SCP) is the core multiplayer mode, with player teams competing directly against each other. Foundation, Insurgency, and SCP factions play by fundamentally different rules, roles, and win conditions. The three factions operate as coordinated teams with distinct objectives and complementary roles.
