Strife
Strife pits two teams of players against each other, both teams are based at opposite corners of the map in their respective bases. Bases consist of one central structure, creep spawn points, three generators and a hero spawning pool. The goal of the game is to destroy the central structure of the opposite base. Players achieve this by selecting heroes with unique skills to combat the other team, both teams can select the same heroes. Each game, a player chooses one hero to be for the duration of the match. Every hero has four abilities that may be acquired and upgraded as the hero gains experience and levels up.
What it feels like
Non-stop action and kinetic combat flow create a rush of speed and thrill during matches. Victory in competitive team battles carries a sense of hard-won achievement and momentum.
What it's about
Teams of powerful heroes compete in an epic battle with clear good-versus-evil structured conflict. Heroes with unique magical and combat abilities fight in a fantasy setting.
How it plays
Fast melee combat with chained attacks and flashy execution is core to hero-based combat in this MOBA. Deep combo-driven melee with stylish execution on heroes is a central element of moment-to-moment gameplay. Each hero is a distinct class with unique skills and abilities that define their role and playstyle.
How it looks and sounds
The camera typically follows heroes from a dynamic third-person perspective in MOBA gameplay.
How it's structured
Direct player-versus-player competition between two teams is the primary mode and win condition. Two opposing teams compete in structured PvP gameplay as the definitional core of the MOBA format. Combat takes place in a defined map arena with base structures rather than open traversal.
